Tournament Information

 

About the Tournament: 36-hole stroke play championship. All players will play 18 holes on both Tuesday, July 24th and Wednesday, July 25th. The lowest 36 hole total will be declared the champion. (Tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. both days)


Entry Fee: $145 per player includes golf cart, range balls and lunch final round. There is a professional purse and amateur gift certificates for top finishers. (Click here to apply)


Eligibility:  In addition to a player’s agreement to abide by the Kentucky PGA General Tournament Policies, the following criteria is required:
- Female Professional Golfers:

  • All professional golfers regardless of residency are eligible
     

Female Amateur Golfers: (No age or handicap limit)

  • All amateur golfers must hold an active USGA Handicap Index from a Kentucky Golf Association Member Club
  • Non-resident amateur golfers of Kentucky must be a bona fide member of a Type 1 KGA Member Club
     

Note: Amateur participants ages 25 years of age or older are also eligible to compete in the Mid-Amateur division of the championship. All contestants competing in the Mid-Amateur Division will play from the championship tees and will be eligible for the overall championship title. The low finisher in the Mid-Amateur Division will receive a recognition prize, but cannot win both the overall championship and the Mid-Amateur Division.

Cart Usage:

  • Automotive transportation is permitted for this competition. Competitors using carts should be familiar with the USGA Rule 6-4 and Decision 6-4/2.5, which addresses the use of caddies and automotive transportation. During the competition, only two carts per group will be allowed. Players in each group must make arrangements to comply with this condition.
  • Cart privileges are subject to the player/caddy abiding by the club’s policy concerning movement and location of cart traffic. Carts may be restricted to areas designated during the official starter’s announcements prior to the stipulated round. Players are responsible to abide by these regulations.
     

Prizes & Professional Purse: There will be a seperate prize purse for both amateurs and professionals. Size and composition of the final field will determine the full professional and amateur prize distribution.
